Anyone use Opera?

I've been using it for a couple of days now and am really impressed with it. It's very fast, and so much more powerful than IE.

I'm interested in hearing what other people think of it.

I've got a keygen for it if anyone wants to register theirs..

www.metal.net.au<img src="http://www.metal.net.au/sakkath/headban ... >Edited by: <A HREF=http://pub55.ezboard.com/usakkath.showP ... h at: 8/12/02 10:11:08 pm

Re: Opera
been a while since i last tried it, but back then it seemed to have "issues" with java/javascript.

it's probably the only browser that conforms to the W3C standards for HTML... a pity there aren't many websites that conform to the standards. <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... ohwell.gif ALT=":\">
Boppin
Who me? Re: Opera
I use it almost exclusively from home. Forced to use IE at work.

Latest versions are pretty darn good with JavaScript.
For example: Works with all Internet Banking and the like these days.

Pros:
1. Tiny memory footprint compared to IE and Netscape/Mozilla.
2. Single click to turn images on or off. (I have them disabled by default most of the time, so web browsing is much faster via modem, and enable them when I want them).
3. Ability to zoom pages with a couple mouse clicks, or hotkeys.

Cons:
1. Doesn't work with a rare few anally retentive web sites that use exclusive IE JavaScript/ActiveX commands.
2. Can have issues with some plugins that are exclusively designed to fit into IE or Netscape, and aren't portable like plugins are designed to be.
3. Native Adware if you don't wish to register or find a keygen.

Kathodos <Wreckers> - Battle Cleric of Tunare - Tholuxe Paells

Kantreach <Wreckers> - Arch Mage Antagonist - Tholuxe Paells

Edited by: <A HREF=http://pub55.ezboard.com/ukathodos.show ... athodos at: 8/12/02 11:12:51 pm
