Now I know why I have never phoned a helpdesk - I always look it up on the internet someplace.

BTW - my HP printer won't work.

Stuff that! I can fix it myself if I can ever be bothered looking at it again. Haven't bothered with it since I bought the new pc. Spose it might actually work if I bothered to load the drivers.

Okay it took me 8 months but I finally found the Mac video that I found hilarious.

You may need to register to watch this on youtube, not sure since I'm already registered (had to check out dancing girls video referenced on Berthall)

So what do you think about THAT Miru? :D

The weird thing is, they arent the issues I have with Macs but with PCs - are you sure he wasn't just changing an old PC comedy sequence to Mac but didn't do any research to find out the issues he was talking about are PC issues not Mac issues.

How the fuck do I turn off this damned fool PC - nothing works - OK time (yet again) for a hard close.

Oh - another issue - my PC does random crashes just for the sheer hell of it a couple of times a day. My Mac has crashed about 3 times in the years and years that I have owned it and each time I knew why it crashed and could fix it.

I havent had a PC crash on me in months, either at home or at work. Individual programs may bomb out, but thats not the problem of the OS. Actually, I cant remember one. I dont think I have seen a blue screen this year, and PC's is my job. Writing software means I do unusual stuff too, I'm pretty good at croaking machines.

Never happens. I'm always curious about this instability claim for windows /shrug.

Can't say I ever had much problem with blue screening, and I assure you that I punish my compies. The longest this computer's been down was 2 days when my power supply popped, with maybe 4 days total downtime through the last 2 1/2 years. I reboot once a week just because I miss seeing the "Virtual memory too low, Windows is now pillaging your hard drive." message.

Usually have 2x EQ up, dvd's playing on the second monitor, winamp streaming radio stations for when I just can't watch any more farm porn dvd's, browser always up, telnet to check my mail, the occasional graphics program, and a myriad of other apps on a weekly basis. Since I upgraded to XP from 98se, I haven't even had any of my old predictable crashes (Photoshop 3 + moving small anti-aliased text = This program has performed an illegal operation).

As a matter of fact, my N64 has crashed more than my comp. GoldenEye didn't account for players using a high arc with the rocket laucher to call in your own 30 second delayed air support on the other side of walls where the terrain hadn't loaded yet. :D
