'Dick' is a shortened name for 'Richard' in the UK

I worked for a 'Richard Head' - kept me mightily amused for weeks as I used to watch Beavis & Butthead a lot at the time.

I knew a girl a little older than my daughter, with the real name of Honey MacHunter. Just try saying it out loud and see where it takes you.

On the other hand, my mother absolutely swears she went through school with a girl called Isa Bugge.

When I was doing the programme for a swimming carnival, one of the submitted entries was for a girl named Katya Taylor.

As with Mara, I went to school with a Richard who had the unfortunate surname of Small.

Also a girl named Theresa Brown which I always found amusing :)

when my wife and i were looking for names for our most recent child i looked on a website which gave the top 100 names by year and sate. Alabama had enough girls born with the name Sugarbum that it actually made the top 100. California (given this state has a large asian population) had the name of Yuky in the top 100. my wife shot me down when i suggested we call our daughter Yuky Sugarbum. new hampshire had the name Roo as one of the to p100 names, and montana had Ruby. i suggested Ruby Roo (like the popular kids cartoon scooby doo) some other real winners were baby, and apple.

One of the guys i used to work with named his son while its not meant to be harmful to the kid, it took me about 5 mins after hearing to work it out and find it amusing..

Ewan Barry White

I hope the kid drops his middle name, when he gets older.

Worked with a guy whose name was Clinton Saw. His usual nickanme was C. Saw, but if you wanted to give him a hard time you used the other version of his name. CLINT SAW. write the L and the I together.
