You can only enter it from first person mode. Using the mouse wheel you can zoom the camera out into what is, basically, a chase camera. You can use the mouse wheel to determine the distance of the camera from your character, or to zoom back into first person mode. When in the chase mode, mouselook turns the character and camera together.<br><br>- <!--EZCODE BOLD START--><strong>Reporting Damage Over Time</strong><!--EZCODE BOLD END--> - Damage over Time (DoT) done to NPCs will now be reported to the caster of the DoT as it is done.<br><br>- <!--EZCODE BOLD START--><strong>Pathing Tuning</strong><!--EZCODE BOLD END--> - Fleeing NPCs should now run further away. Previously they would stop running somewhat short of spell range. NPCs will also avoid water whenever possible (except for fish...). Jumping off high cliffs is a less attractive option for NPCs now as well. Please continue to keep your eyes open for pathing issues, we appreciate the help you've given us so far.<br><br>- <!--EZCODE BOLD START--><strong>Summoning Spells</strong><!--EZCODE BOLD END--> - Summoning spells will now work with something on the cursor, but will stop working and warn the player when attempting to cast with 11 items on the cursor.<br><br>- <!--EZCODE BOLD START--><strong>Character Select Crash</strong><!--EZCODE BOLD END--> - Using the arrow keys to try to change the selected character with no characters on the account was causing people to crash out of the game. That's fixed.<br><br>- <!--EZCODE BOLD START--><strong>GMotD</strong><!--EZCODE BOLD END--> - We've fixed a problem with Guild Message of the Day that was causing all the players in the guild to crash under certain circumstances.<br><br>- <!--EZCODE BOLD START--><strong>Newbie Starting Locations</strong><!--EZCODE BOLD END--> - We've modified all locations where new characters start to make them a bit more convenient for the new player. If you start a new character, please take a moment to look around and see if you are in a reasonable starting location (you should be near your guild master) and not someplace odd, like under the world or in Vox's lair.<br><br>- <!--EZCODE BOLD START--><strong>Guild Window:</strong><!--EZCODE BOLD END--> "Last On" Time - The last on time displayed in the guild window was not being properly updated until the first the player zoned. They won't do that anymore.<br><br><br><br>May 19th, 2003<br>-------------------------<br><br>** About /testbuff and the new influx of players on Test **<br><br>We wanted to make it clear to everyone that the new /testbuff feature is intended to help the effectiveness and functionality of the Test server. We are keeping track of the use of this command, and if it becomes a problem we can and will remove it.<br><br>Also, for those of you new to the Test server, please understand that the rules still apply. We've had a rash of very poorly chosen character names since /testbuff was introduced. If you feel the urge to create an extremely offensive character name, resist that urge. While we are certainly a little more relaxed about out of character names, we will be taking action as needed to police this issue in regards to offensive names, and this might mean the suspension or loss of your EverQuest account.<br><br>We also removed the exploit that allowed folks to use /testbuff as a method for instant healing.<br><br>- <!--EZCODE BOLD START--><strong>Shared Bank Vault</strong><!--EZCODE BOLD END--> - As you may have already noticed, we've added two shared bank slots to the interface. These extra bank slots can be accessed by any character on the same account and server. No-Drop items can't be placed in these bank slots, and only one of any specific Lore item can exist in the shared bank at any time. Please try placing all sorts of items into these bank slots and move them from character to character and make sure nothing bad happens (like items disappearing).<br><br>- <!--EZCODE BOLD START--><strong>Spell Descriptions</strong><!--EZCODE BOLD END--> - We have fixed the $2 problem. Please look over the descriptions for your spells and let us know if you see any errors using /bug.<br><br>- <!--EZCODE BOLD START--><strong>Spell Context Menus</strong><!--EZCODE BOLD END--> - When you right-click and empty spell gem, you will be presented with a list of spell categories. Point your mouse at a category and a list of spells will be displayed. Select a spell from that list to memorize it in that slot. We are still working on this new feature. We don't have all the spell information in the database to make all of the selections work properly. But please explore the feature and let us know what you think and where it can be made to fail.<br><br>- NPCs that are snared or otherwise not moving at full speed should no longer teleport to where they want to go.<br><br>- Feared NPCs should now be running away from something, rather than running to the farthest spot in the zone. This should make feared NPCs react in a more natural fashion.<br><br>- We moved some code around that had to do with PvP direct damage calculations. There should be no changes to the way PvP direct damage works, so if you notice any, please bug report it.<br><br>- <!--EZCODE BOLD START--><strong>Divine Intervention</strong><!--EZCODE BOLD END--> - This spell should now be reporting the amount of healing it delivers.<br><br>- <!--EZCODE BOLD START--><strong>Lifeburn</strong><!--EZCODE BOLD END--> - This ability will no longer take you to 10 hp. It should now take you down to 1/4 your life + 1hp. This should prevent the additional agro generated by the ability because the character was at very low hit points while retaining the risk.<br><br>- We've made some changes to the way the Network Meter (Lag Meter) works. If you have it turned off, please turn it back on for a while and make sure it's working properly.<br><br><br><br>May 14th, 2003<br>-------------------------<br><br><br><!--EZCODE BOLD START--><strong>/testbuff</strong><!--EZCODE BOLD END--> - We are adding a new command for use only on the Test server. /testbuff will raise the level of your character to 25 if it was below level 25. It will also provide the character with all appropriate spells as well as a balanced set of items for their class. This will help testers who want to try out a problem with characters of different classes or who are just starting out on the Test server.<br><br><br><!--EZCODE BOLD START--><strong>Spell Descriptions</strong><!--EZCODE BOLD END--> - We are adding a much more informative spell description window to Test today. All of the spell description should be available except for Druid and Beastlord spells, which we will add soon. We will also be adding descriptions for spells available from items in a little while.
