Hackings

Short summary: CV had 20+ accounts hacked, due to passwords ripped from their guild websites PMs.
Our boards are different tho, no? Apparently EZboard and PHbb whatever is easy to hack.

Yeh thats worth noteing - most people never change their passwords which is bad news. Try not to use the same password on your boards accounts as your EQ accounts and consider changing your EQ PW once a year or more

Very good info to know as I was going to PM my info to a couple guildies today. I'll have to find some other avenue.

Inherittantly - PHPbb does have some weaknesses - albeit ones that are not easily exploitable to the average hacker.

Easiest way to give your info to someone is a tell in game or get their MSN or whatever they use. Hell if they want it badly enough give them your phone number and tell them to ring you

I would be extremely careful before giving anybody details in game. You just don't know who you're really talking to.
