Dual Core and EQ

For a while now I have heard some people complain about speed problems with their Dual Core AMD's.
Well there is a fix.
Apparently Microsoft hasn't voiced it loudly, but if you go to their website there is a fix somewhere to run to fix the issues.
However for those of you that are having issuses and play EQ (DUH) you also need to go to the AMD website and DL their fix as well.

Once you do this you can turn the dualness of your CPU back on again and rejoice.

Disclaimer, this has not been seen by me (funnily enough I wasn't silly enough (or rich enough) to buy a Dual Core) but was told to me by a mate that plays EQ and found this out himself.
Any problems to be refered to Chakar :)

The fix from MS when I was investigating required you to call them on their helpdesk line (thus paying for support as they wont talk to you without raising a paid ticket) and then they would give it to you for download.

WINEQ 2.0 works fine.

The AMD fix did nothing

Aam's is not, its a P4 660. Deliberately avoided dual core due to the know issues .. so she ended up with unknown issues. Not sure which is better

No problems running my dual core...single player is very very smooth, and boxing 2 characters is just fine, my zone times go up about 10 seconds, but other than that, im happy with my setup
