Direct damage spell changes have arrived. Higher damage, lower mana, faster cast/recast.

For the Rangers: Auspice of the Hunter stats increased significantly, and 12 seconds have been knocked off our nuke recasts. Wuwu!

And umm.. think 1 or 2 other classes are effected, but yeah..

So what are these changes supposed to be in aid of? Or is it part of the class re-envisioning stuff?

Druids fire nukes got enhanced while our cold nukes got nerfed it looks like at first glance. I haven't bothered with hp/mana ratios but my 69 nuke now does more damage than my 70 nuke or my ancient oow nuke.

I only recently got Glitterfrost too /sigh. Started feeling half useful at Statue camp but I guess it's not meant to be.

Every class that use normal nukes got an upgrade. Most benefited people are low level nukers, big upgrade there.

Nothing being done about undead dd line, guess that is not dd.

Yeah, part of the re-envisioning. They're hammering out the heals / nukes first while they analyze parses in preparation for melee/tanking changes.. would you believe gathering parses that they'll eventually analyze? How about rake in millions from us through another 2 expansions while they cruise pr0n sites for a living? Yeah, that'll shut em up. Heh heh heh. /run

Glitterfrost got a big upgrade, reduction in cast time from 2.8 to 2.2, also damage per mana ratio from 4.38 to 4.96. Major upgrades if you ask me on this one. This now close to ratio of wizard nukes just smaller amounts.

I better get to farming myself a Fabled Steel Hilted Flint Dagger methinks. When these changes go live, Conflagration (Wizzy Nuke) goes from a 600dd to a 900dd, not a bad proc on that dagger or the orginal SHFD or even the GoD 1hb Dedgerex's Flintforged Cudgel. Would be nice to see 1800 crit procs goin off.

More damage! rhar! ... one point more... like those ads in supermarket for things on special small print says save one cent.

Chain casting one nuke though! Will save me loading 2 nukes. Will be nice.

Quick look at druid spells and the fire ones I use most have gone up about 10% in damage.


Cleric stuff though has lost damage, but nice combo of less damage and mana used and, you can cast more often.

Yeah like I said I didn't calculate the new ratios. But who cares about ratios anyway, it's all about the eye candy and the big crits that make mages feel insecure

Never complain about more dps. I think every melee should get themselves a steel hilted dagger btw

No 900dd proc for Steel Hilted Flint dagger, they're adding a seperate set of spells for items whose effects are being adjusted. Additionally, hydrid nuke recast times have been moved back to 30 sec, cast times lowered to 0.5 sec. HUGE improvement, even if it's resisted you didn't lose a round. Couple other goodies adjusted on test (tash lines for one). Back to decaying in my corner in PoK, will be hitting 250 days "played" in 6 hours!

Nah, name's locked in, I just hate having to reload.. which I'm doing right now. Comp died with eq x2, photoshop and 3d modelling program running. On a related note, check out the background image on magelo. Been a looong time since I got my hands dirty with graphics. =D

Ranger and Beastlord nukes are 0.5 second cast, big upgrade here.

Hmm ok looking at this, it's a huge bonus for druids.
Our top cold nuke goes from 2100 to 1800, while our fire goes from 1900 to 2200... Nice difference on base but gets better with focus.
Atm Mic's got 45% fire focus (scales to 41.5%) and 45% cold focus (scales down to 36%)... Should easily be seeing more 6k+ crits.. maybe 7k with bard song and def can break 7k while epic is going.

I'm lucky im a druid, i get it really easy on Qvic boots.. the others are fkn hard to get at (we never hear the end of it from teh wizzies)
