Having trouble downloading DoN files?

I had this problem. Here is how i fixed it.

When I logged in after patch, I couldnt zone into guild hall. I also had noticed a conspicuous absence of large download for DoN which made me suspicious that the files hadnt downloaded. Also I noticed that the picture on the patcher hadnt changed either which it always does with a new expansion. Another symptom of wierdness was that if I looked at the scrolling list of activated expansions. Instead of Dragons of Norrath it said ERROR: String not found (3036)

It turns out that the patcher had not updated: I did a couple of things:

1) I ran TestEverquest, this was just to force it to patch the patcher. I then saw the new patcher picture and knew that the patcher hadnt updated.
2) I cancelled the download, rather than download the whole of the test files
3) I deleted _verQuest.exe

When I ran Everquest.exe it was the up to date patcher with the DoN picture of Firiona Vie. It is now downloading and I hope to be online in a couple of hours.
