Microsoft has been running a market grab promotion for a increase to their cloud storage offering per account. Theres some for referals but a fairly large chunk for installing the photosync software against an account from a mobile device and the app on a machine.

Its not a new offer but its not always 15 gig for the photo thing.

Once installed they test fine to remove and you stay with the increased storage.

15 Gig base account
15 Gig for linking their Camera roll component of the app
0.5 Gig for getting a referal to the offer
0.5 Gig up to 5Gig for each referal you make on the offer.

You need to setup a microsoft account which is more or less needed for Windows 10 / 8/8.1 anyway.
Pretty sure you need to instalkl it to a desktop to trigger it also - not sure at what point it was showing the increase.

Anyways Free is free I figure. Buyer beware with regards your happyness in using cloud storage however. Up to 35gig free online storage isnt that aweful tho for bits and pieces.

And a slow as shit upload rate to it too boot.

Onedrive personal may be OK, but Onedrive for business is horrible.

I had a client who tried to upload ~800mb. it created 843,000 temporary files, and was uploading on a 10/10 connection at about 1500 bytes per second.
Hung her machine completely. Had to blow away the cache.

Ouch!

Yuk. wasnt too aweful for personal use. Free is free.
