Anyone else started playing Aion yet?

Been reading here and there about it, just got released to Aus. Looks pretty rad.

Saw it in the store yesterday when I grabbed the new Halo.

Didn't notice any Aussie servers?

It looks shiney, but it's crap.

PvPvE

Been out in China for few years. Supposedly, it's likely to fold by late next year.

End zone has players vs players and environment(npcs).

and to answer Durus question

The servers will be physically located in USA,
but there is a server called Nezekan which is supposed to be for Oceanic players. So it will have a higher population of players in our timezone.

At least they didnt try to release it under the same payment system as China. They have to buy cards which allows them so many minutes to play the game eg: 60 hr game card / 3600 minutes
Instead of the monthly subscriptions, or a 30day/60day game card.
Basically, when your time runs out, you get booted from game.

China uses that for alot of games it seems. And I've seen Westerners bitch and moan that they can't do that here because they want refunds on the time spent patching...

/sigh

Most of the original Wreckers are now playing Aion.

Look up The Kelly Gang or check out fivefingerdiscount.org if you want to read about it.

Looked shit to me but they are obsessed with PvP and they seem happy with it so far.

:fuck:
