Silver is tight.
/wonders how gold became more valuable. it's toxic and it's fragile

gold is more rare.
i believe it has many more unique chemical properties which make it more useful in the construction of several things. not just junk you wear on your fingers. it is used in the lining of airbags.
that said, i like silver better. my wedding band is silver. and now i have a reason to push my wife to finish off our silver table setting and such.
