Pick up raid 15 Nov

Post by Bham »

Another raid on Wednesday 15 Nov

The plan is anguish, CoD, anguish

Whenever I get home from work Ill grab a group and start clearing into anguish. We need 3 healers or a better tank than Tentrix to kill the aug mobs, Aug mobs should be popped by 730pm or not long after.

During cooldown we will have a go at Circle of Drakes. We destroy this with 24 people, but if Tuesday is anything to go by we will be attempting it with about 18.

If there is time and numbers we will go through Anguish again.

I would like to try some of the new stuff in TSS, but until I get the hang of this I would rather stick to the stuff I know.

After this raid I wont be able to run another until 28 Nov.

I think everyone had fun on the Anguish clear tonight, Im looking forward to going again tomorrow

Anguish was fun, definitely (and not just because I won an Aug :-)

I vaguely started to get the hang of boxing a cleric in a raid environment whilst still contributing DPS with Creac.

I should be around, but I'm actually not at work today as I was feeling utterly shit when I woke up this morning - somewhat better now but see how it goes.

While we're not on the subject, what's your avatar maz? It's pretty small on my screen so it looks like a shiliskin with gargoyle wings and the body of the buddy christ...

I might be running a little slow tonight, but i will be there. i was going to take the druid and track a few named in steppes, sverag, and devestation (assuming those zones do not have a level limit) there are several "mini" raid targets in those zones if we can take an aug mob we can take them.

5 anguish augs and a neck from CoD. It was a pretty good night. Had roughly 3 groups the whole way.

Gratz to winnerz.

I will run 2 more of these on 28 and 29 of Nov.

I may also do some as last-minute throw togethers on other nights.

As long as you have 3 healers and a solid tank it should go ok in Anguish, so step up and organise one on any old night if it looks like you can get the numbers.

We also need to teach Tsuix how to pull in CoA :-) He will learn - Thoraf was giving him lessons /nod

It was good fun and productive and helps people learn some new roles - all good.

Anguish doesnt need a special class to pull, anyone can consistently pull 3 or less mobs. Just need a gate keeper is all.

I tried to get Angel to pull once and he chickened out, but there's no strat to it. Tag and run like fk using your 'Inc ... some" hotkey.

Yeah Thoraf was pulling and doign well, until he brought 4 including a named :-)

It'd be a good place for Tsui to pick up his skills, though.

Have you talked to your ISP about it, Mica? Does it just drop EQ or do you lose connection completely?

I haven't, Ray has once since it's in his name. It drops out completely from anywhere between 10secs and a minute (ie. long enuff to dump me from EQ and get me killed if i was in the middle of something.) Seems to be completely random.. Some days it doesn't happen at all, some days it happens every 2mins.. Seems to be more frequent in the early morning (7am-9.30ish) and after about 8pm.

If i could get Ray back on the phone to talk to them again maybe we'd get somewhere, but he's proving to be difficult :P (ie. he doesn't use the net much, and doesn't play eq, therefore he doesn't care)

Get him to give you as an authorised person on the account? Then you could talk to them?

Sounds like you need them to come out and check the lines etc at the very least - if it's completely disconnecting, it's unlikely a problem your end.

Yea i will, if he ever talks to them again :P At any rate, the same thing happened on both the computers, using 3 different modems, in 2 different rooms of the house. Also considering that it didn't do it before and is slowly getting worse, i'm tending towards something being wrong with the line too. I'm sure convincing them of that and getting them out here is going to be considerably complicated though.

i didnt take time to read all the posts. Im 19 but read at a 3rd grade reading level so it would have taken me an hour to read all of it, then another hour to decode all the words i dont know.(give me a break i live in texas).

But the aug runs are fun and go real smoothly. even tho sometimes i pull lol. Im looking forward to doing these more
