Patch Wed 7th Sept

Post by Katzane »

All EverQuest English language servers will be coming down at 4:00 AM PDT (-7 UTC) on Wednesday 9/07/2005 for an update. Estimated downtime is 4 hours.

I assume the 9/07/2005 is American Date format for 07/09/2005?

Ah well I still get a EQ fix before I head to bed early tonight.

/nods - some decent interesting threads to read for a change. DON has some interesting content. Cant feel like Sony is ramming too much into the game though

EverQuest - Live Update - 09/07/05
----------------------------------

*** Headlines ***
--------------------------
Eyes on Nektulos - From the saddle of her unholy steed, Lanys T`Vyl, the child of Innoruuk, surveyed the trolls' as they marched with all of their belongings and wares from Neriak, the dark elf city they called home for a time, to the city of Grobb in the Innothule Swamp. The frogloks had finally lost their foothold in Grobb and now the smelling, foul race of trolls had their home back.

She kicked her steed into motion and made haste through Nektulos Forest making a cursory survey of the lands and then turned to Neriak where dark fates would soon unfurl by her ebony hand.

*** Spells ***
------------------------------------------------
- Increased the duration on Divine Avatar.
- Reduced the casting time on several swarm pet AAs.
- Modified Intensity of the Resolute so it won't be overwritten by other, lesser abilities.
- Using Cyclone Blade or Whirlwind Blade will no longer cause AE Taunt to be used up as well.
- Telekara is now slightly harder to resist, giving it an equal resist chance to other spells in the same line.
- Nature's Blight and Season's Fury now have 200 spell casting range.
- Rhythmic Reflexes and Superior Rhythmic Reflexes had their double attack values switched. This has now been corrected.
- Nature's Blight and Season's Fury will now not focus level 1 spells, including the Shadowknight ability Harmtouch.

*** Items ***
------------------------------------------------
- The dark side of the froglok’s can now wear the armor their culture made.
- Modified the stats of numerous pieces of the cultural armor and the corresponding symbols.
- After much chafing, and a few cracked ribs, the froglok have decided that gnome cultural armor is no longer wearable.
- Blessed Reviver's Charm should now calculate its stats correctly if a non-wis caster is added to the group or raid.
- All spell scrolls should now be stackable. Please note that if you try to scribe more than one spell scroll at one time by using a stack of spell scrolls, that you will receive an error message. You must use only one spell scroll to scribe a spell.
- Ancient Mist Root Stone, Refracted Dusk Amethyst, Ancient Life Root Stone, and Refracted Dawn Amethyst are now usable in the hands and wrist slots.

Hmm should we taunt Olli with the 3 goats we killed with 11 minutes to spare? :)

I go to help out. Already got a bracer and hp aug, will go after another bracer when most of the guild is geared up or will put in for Quarm bracer. None of the other pieces are worth it at this point due to the foci I'd be losing (+10 strikethrough, spell haste on heals, faerune), which are much more valuable to me than an extra 35-45 hp here and there.

Edit: Was happy to see the increased time on Divine Avatar. Seemed like a good idea when I bought the first rank on clrbot, except clr melee sucks so hard that even when you double 0dps, you still come out with 0dps. The heal portion, on the otherhand has made up for it during those times I train myself moving him due to shoddy invis.

Nearly all of my useful focus's are in my Augs which I swap around. Must say I'm glad I got the sleeves from the goats, I can drop my Healing V aug now and stick a diff one in.

The rest of you may not have noticed...

but they explicictly singled out and nerfed the Druid epic effect with ragard to SK HT...

Sks in general are really pissed about this...

not so much the actual impact of the nerf...but the fact that SOE would single us out for the nerf....when HT has been gradually eroding from a relative power point since POP, and has not no scaling impact since then...

anyhow...not happy here...

There is not upgrade to HT? It's only available at Leve 1? In that case I entirely agree with you - that's totally unfair. I wonder if they'll un-nerf it if SK's and Druids all get upset about it....

doubtful

there are lots of aas which focus the HT...but it is still a lvl 1 spell being focused...so it is the ONLY meaningful spell to be effected by this petty change...

Couldn't agree with E more on this, we get to nuke like a wizzy once every hour with maxed out AA's. Think the record with druid clicky was around 13kish I saw posted on the SK boards. Having the ability nerfed and it being the only one singled out is a load of bs imo.

Heh, replace HT with SU and you have paladins. Course just about nothing focuses SU anyways....

Go go knights ><

21 extra AA to get Vanquish undead to boost it back to roughly about it's power in the Luclin age. What can I say, I am a sucker for slay undead, so will do it when I get next set of needed stuff out of the way.
