"Take a little good advice....."

Take a little good advice,
Take a trip to paradise,
It's really not too hard to find,
You've got it in you mind.
It's whatever thing you want.
Goodies.........Goodies
It's anything you want it to be,
A record or an O.B.E.
A sausage or a seaside pier,
We make it happen here.
Fun for all the family,
Goodies........Goodies
Goodies, goody goody yum yum.

The two shows in melbourne sold out very fast.. as did the sydney shows.

Ohh well. met Tim at the Kitten Kon a few years ago.. Decent sort to talk to, though he was get lagged as hell and probably a bit freaked out to come to a convention by himself with all these fucked up aussies half his age :)

We're the Goodies,
How do you do?
We've just been down to the zoo.
Saw a monkey in a cage doin' a dance that could be the rage.
It's not hard, so let's all do
the Funky Gibbon!
Ooo! Ooo! Ooo!

Chorus

Do do do the Funky Gibbon (Funky Gibbon?)
We are here to show you how. (ooo ooo ooo) -- gibbon hoots
Ooo Ooo Ooo the Funky Gibbon (Funky gibbon?)
He's just like you,
So, come on, Do
The Funky Gibbon Nowwwww.

Dogs are always howlin',
Cats are always Yowlin',
But Gibbons only like to Sing and Dance. (Boop oop shee boop)
You be like that monkey,
Get a little funky,
And in a while, start to smile,
Gibbon have a chance.

(Chorus)

Now get ready to do the Funky Gibbon!
Drop one arm down by your knees, let the other arm reach up to the trees.
Now let your wrists go limp like a bent baboon
And get ready to sing this Gibbon's tune (ooo ooo ooo, Funky Gibbon)
Now won'tcha gimme an Oooooo (oooooo)
Come on gimme an Oooooo (oooooo)
Give me an Ooooooo (oooooo)
Now put 'em together and what have you got?
ooo ooo ooo ooo ooo ooo <--- gibbon hoots

(Chorus)

ooo ooo ooo Funky Gibbon
ooo ooo ooo Funky Gibbon
ooo ooo ooo Funky Gibbon
(alt: Tie a yellow Gibbon 'round the old oak tree....)
do do do Funky Gibbon
Funky Gibbon?!! Oooo!
(followed by gibbon hoots)

bloody children! Poor Mic has led a deprived childhood. I remember my kids racing for the TV when the Goodies were on, they loved them, they were hugely popular and no one missed watching the show if they could help it. Unfortunately I missed a lot of their stuff, as I was cooking din-dins
