Considering Netflicks. Apparently you can subscribe from any country paying from there then watch in australia. Curious.

Colombia exchange rate is generally australian favourable.

About $7.71 a month at the moment depending on what conversion you get and fees for Standard ($11.99 AUD) You will continue to pay in COP tho.

It was $8.79 about a year ago still a good discount.

Important to look at your CC company charges for foreign currency purchases and also to monitor the exchange rate.

What is handy, though, is that if you know how to route your TV through a VPN to get a US IP, then you can watch US-only shows.

Yeh I had a look at the last 10 years exchange comparison and took it as uhlikely it was going to turn against me. % based CC international fees depending on your card provider generally dont pass 5% but thats not to say you dont end up with one thats like 1.5$ per charge.

Yeah some are great - my Amex has no fee for forex, for example, but some are dodgy. Guy at work has a Coles visa card and he gets hit with 2 fees for all forex!

Yeh I have a Coles Rewards Mastercard. Flat 2.5% purchase international fee. ATM fees in other countries however are nuts. Plus the exchange rate they use I am sure screws you also. I get about 1% of the spend back in flybuys tho.

AUD strengthened after the RBA left rates on hold.

Yeh but the trend for them has been down for some time if you check the link above. Obviously strengthening AUD wont help them.
