Soused Camembert

Soused Camembert

Ingredients :
2x Camembert Cheese
½ Cup dry white wine
100g softened butter
Pinch paprika
2 TBS brandy
2 TBS almond meal
4 TBS Toasted flaked almonds
2 crips red apples sliced
1 PK crackers

Method :
1. Thinly slice and remove the rind from the Camembert, cut in to ¼ s and place in a bowl, pour the white wine over and soak over night.

2. Remove the cheese and pat dry with paper towles, cream the cheese and butter, add paprika, brandly, almond meal and mix well.

3. Place on serving platter and re-form in to camembert shape. Press toasted flacked almonds over top and sides.

4. Dip apple slices in lemon juice and surround the cheese. Place the crackers around the edge of the platter.

Ah this dish is an old favourite. Although my family recipe differs a little

1. Get soused
2. Eat camembert

It's simpler to follow though if you're cooking challenged.
