Non-Alcoholic Summer Drinks
With the start of the hot weather, I am looking for lots and lots of nice, tasty refreshing non-alcoholic drinks. I have a great recipe somewhere which I have to find and will post as soon as I do. But meanwhile, please post any great recipes you may have in this thread.

Boston Cream No. 2
I can't find my real recipe at the moment. I do know it has both citric and tartaric acid as well as egg whites in it. Here is a similar recipe to it. It is an easy and tasty very refreshing summer drink. This is a concentrate so you will need to keep a big bottle of cold water in the fridge.
Ingredients:
2 1/2 lb. Sugar
2 oz. Citric Acid
1 tbsp. Lemon Juice (Concentrated)
3 pints of Water (Boiling)
Baking Soda
Mix well the citric acid, the sugar and the boiling water until the sugar has dissolved, then let cool. Stir in the lemon juice, chill, bottle and store. Mix a pinch of baking soda and a teaspoon of the mixture (strength as required) for every glass of water.

or alternatively...for those who own blenders...
any fruits of ur choice n some crushed ice wizzed thru a blender=yummy!
and healthy too
for those who like their drinks a lil harder, a dash of vodka, rum or whatever also works
dont have an exact recipe as such...best bet would just be to experiment a lil n see what ya come up with

Vege juices are the single most revolting, gag reflex inducing nightmare I can thing of. Dunno how you can even stand the smell!

Actually after livin in Asia for a bit, I dont drink fruit juice anymore. Over there you ask for apple juice and they juice up whole apples for you, there in front of you and for a few measly pennies too. When you drink it, its just the most perfect juice evah!
You come to western countries and it's almost impossible to get real fresh fruit juice and when you finally DO find it, they charge you several bucks for it like fresh juice is some kind of privileged luxury!! MAKES ME MAD!!!

Actually after livin in Asia for a bit, I dont drink fruit juice anymore. Over there you ask for apple juice and they juice up whole apples for you, there in front of you and for a few measly pennies too. When you drink it, its just the most perfect juice evah!

yeah im the same melo -_-
i lived off fruit + ice thingos for a few months over there where you just point at wtf crazy fruits they have piled up and they blend in front of you. yet noone does it here. could make a lot of money im sure with a little stall somewhere, if prepared to be a juice bitch =p

The only summer non alcoholic drink is this.
Go to your local servo.
Buy 1 bag of ice, preferably tubular.
Go home and wack bag of ice against the cement untill the sides are nearly bursting and the ice inside is all smashed to chips.
Insert chips into glass.
Pour choice of cordial flavour (preferably Golden Circle and preferably Red) over it all.
Eat/chew/sip/suck at it till consumed
Rinse and repeat.
Note:
If careful you can get more than 1 of these out of a bag of ice

Found a nice range of de'alcaholized wines in the supermarket the other day. They had a Shiraz, A Sparkling Chardoney and various other grapes. Nice thing was that it wasnt sickly sweet in fact the Shiraz wasnt sweet at all tasted like a passable shiraz without the kick.
