Found myself with a quart a bottle on Evan Williams Honey Reserve left over from the weekend - it was an ok drink, but not really my thing.
So, decided to use up what was left, using other methods.
Below is the result.
Pre-Heat your oven to 120 Celsius - Fan Forced
1/2 Cup Evan Williams Honey Reserve Bourbon
1 Rack of Pork Ribs
1 Teaspoon minced/fresh garlic
1 Teaspoon brown sugar
Salt and Pepper
20ml Water
Lay out some foil in a roasting try, scrunch up the side to make a "Boat"
Lay out the Pork Ribs in the boat
Mix up the Bourbon, garlic, brown suger, and pour over the ribs.
Crack some Salt and Pepper over the ribs to taste.
Pour the water into the base of the boat (NOT over the ribs)
Lay some more Foil over the ribs, and seal the boat, multi-folding the foil into each other at the joins of the base and cap to seal.
Bake in Oven for 3 hrs
Remove the ribs, remove the cap or cut open the top - Steam will be hot, so fuckin watch your fingers, and dont sue me.
Use a Pastry brush to soak up the mix at the bottom of the boat, it should be slighty syrupy, and coat the ribs, return to oven for 10 mins.
Repeat 2 more times.
Serve and Eat.
Result was "fall of the bone" tender meat, with a warm smokey bourbon taste w/ slight hints of honey and fruit.
I served with Potato Skins.
