Honestly there are zillions of ways but this i found easy and well...really easy
1) Self raising flour
2) Cold beer (IT MUST BE COLD)
Put self raising flour in bowl, whisk it a little (does same job as sieving and anyways a couple of lumps are actually nice to add so variability to mix). Add salt and pepper to tase, of course.
Add beer, mix with whisk until you get approx double cream consistency.
Thats is, chuck in whatever ya want to deep fry and fry!
