Jocelyn's Chili Dipping Sauce

This is from a Thai friend of mine - its seriously one of the best dipping sauces around and suitable for most Asian style foods. Absolutely brilliant with Thai Spring rolls etc. 3 Birds Eye Chilis (the little bright red long ones about 1-1.5 inches long) 3 cloves of Garlic 1 cup Boiling Water 3 tab...

Refreshing Lime Cordial

This is all my own work and discovered by me in a moment of desperation. It was hot, I was thirsty, had nothing cold to drink except water, wanted something with flavour. 1. Turn the kettle on to boil 2. Put 3 Tablespoons of sugar into a bottle, jar, glass, anything really. 3. Pour just enough boili...

I do about 2-3 hours a day to and from work. Bit different to 3 months ago when it took me about 15 mins a day tops. Then stupid work moved to another location - gotta hate it.

Don't like them at all - but then its not going to impact me as I won't be playing EQ2 - and I only ever have human females turned on in the new models purely so I can use my horse

Big Nasty RZ still eludes us but his days are numbered

Stirling effort to get as close as we did. A few of us made simple errors (me included) which meant that we lost our chance to do our first attempt on the big boss himself. However, putting that aside, our second run through on TZ and whatever the hell the other one is called, something Zek, Vallon,...

Test Results

I made a batch of Olga's Okroshka up on Saturday afternoon. It was very difficult waiting for it to get nice and cool but wait I did. Remember the only cooking you have to do is hard boil the eggs and boil the potatoes and cook the meat. I used my favourite instant stock powder, Vegeta, which is a C...

Beef Stroganoff

An easy fast and tasty beef stroganoff. Can be made in about 20 minutes. 300gm Rump steak sliced very thinly in strips (I find one of the easiest ways to slice raw meat thinly is to cut it with a sharp knife when it is semi-frozen) 3 large white onions, cut in half then slice thinly 300gm of mushroo...

Test Runs

I have been to the shops and got all my ingredients and will be making a batch of pumpkin soup up tomorrow. I also have bought the makings for Olga's Okroshka and will test drive the recipe. I am substituting ginger beer for the kvass (a slightly alcoholic fermented grain drink). I may also try maki...

Re: Ulcer

Latest research has found that stomach ulcers are not caused by lack of sleep, stress, partying, spicy foods etc but are the result of a virus or bacteria, can't remember which one. However, the above activities do exacerbate the condition. There is an anti-viral/biotic medication on the market spec...

Not the Okroshka I know and love

The Okroshka I had the distinct pleasure of devouring was based on Kvass, which is (I think) an Ukrainian version of apple cider, chicken stock, with tiny slivers of chicken, shallotts, sour cream and not sure what else. It was also served chilled with tiny ice cubes floating in it
