I was having the same issue today. I can't log in...getting the 1001 error/login server down. I tried that fix that Micahle posted...and no luck

I was having the same issue in PoK. I found that it was an issue with either my eqclient.ini or my customUI. I removed both from the EQ folder, let the patcher put back all defaults, then I was able to log in fine. Afterwards, I put one piece of my custom UI back in place at a time, i.e. Grp window,...
